Weardale Fluorite 2017-2026, Vol. VIII, UK Mining Ventures

Since 2017, UK Mining Ventures (UKMV) has worked three mines in the Weardale valley for specimen-grade Fluorite; namely Rogerley, Diana Maria and Lady Annabella.
Each of these specimen recovery operations have unearthed a plethora of remarkable and often unique specimens, without question some of the finest examples ever found in this region of Weardale. 

During this period, 61 mineralised pockets have been discovered, from which specimens once again adorn the best collections around the globe.

This book, now even more enhanced in A4 format, beautifully captures the specimens and narrative behind every one of these finds.
New to this edition is a chapter detailing Weardale’s remarkable mining history, highlighting many of its most famous mineral localities.
A more detailed account of Weardale’s geological history is also provided, along with its setting within the North Pennine Orefield and the latest accounts of how its mineral wealth was deposited.

A section is also featured detailing the history, geology and mineralogy of the iconic Boltsburn mine.
As in previous editions, up-to-date checklists are included for collectors to record pockets now represented in their own collections and highlight specimens still to be added.
